This year we traveled to California to spend a week with my family over Christmas. Thankfully we flew through Pheonix and did not have any trouble with airlines. We spent the week hanging out with my mom, dad, and sister while also seeing various friends and other members of our family. Some highlights of our trip were:
- Seeing The Nutcracker Ballet in San Francisco. It was both my dad and Derek’s first time seeing it live on stage.
- Taking a guided food tour of Little Italy in San Francisco with my sister Megan.
- Derek and my dad going to watch the Golden State Warriors beat the Boston Celtics the day after Christmas.
-Getting to see lots of friends from our old church. We were blessed to spend two Sundays there. Derek had the opportunity to teach in the high school group the second Sunday we were there.
- Getting to meet our friends’ baby, Nora. And getting to see how much our other friends’ baby, Liam, had grown since we last saw him in June.
- Having all of my mom’s side of the family together for a holiday which hasn’t happened since before Derek and I were married.
