This past week Derek completed his second winter term course.  He persevered through 40 hours of lectures squeezed into one week plus writing/reading/studying in the evenings.  We are thankful he was able to complete six units through taking two courses like this, but we are also thankful he is done.  His spring semester will begin in two short weeks.

We enjoyed his “freedom” by hanging out with two couples this weekend, one from our church and one from downstairs. :)   The big highlight of the weekend was going to see the musical Wicked on Sunday afternoon.  My parents gave us tickets to see this new Broadway musical for Christmas and we had been anticipating our outing for several weeks.  We would highly recommend seeing this musical to anyone and everyone!  The cast was phenomenal!  As I told my parents Sunday night the two lead actresses sang the roof off the place!

After the show we enjoyed a “fine-dining” dinner at Stoney River Legendary Steaks.  It was refreshing for us to spend a leisurely meal together after such a draining week.  It was also fun to get dressed up and have an extension to our Christmas celebration!
